GENERAL INFORMATION

Wilderness School Boarding Exchange
We invite applications from Year 10 boarders for our annual Wilderness School exchange. Wilderness School is situated in Adelaide, Australia, and is an independent boarding and day school for girls.  Visit www.wilderness.com.au for more information about the school.

The exchange is from 26 July to 30 August, 2017.  In return, Woodford House will host two girls from Wilderness School for the same period. The exchange is open to all current Year 10 boarders – a maximum of two boarders will be chosen.
Applications are due to the Principal by Friday 19 May, 2017. Defensive Driving course
Due to House Music commitments, the defensive driving course has moved to commence on Tuesday 16 May. The course will continue every Tuesday and Thursday for two weeks, May 18, 23 and 25, from 3.30 - 5.30pm on those dates. The cost of the course is $215. This includes a workbook, the four tutorials and a one-on-one practical lesson. If your daughter/s are interested in this course (and are in Year 12 or Year 13) please provide consent by clicking on the following link: http://bit.ly/2qtC8Ku

Uniform shop
The uniform shop will be open on Thursday and Friday lunchtimes next week.

Lost property
There is a large amount of lost property at school. We have reminded the girls to look after their items carefully, but we also encourage parents and caregivers to talk to their daughters about being responsible for their things and to not leave them lying around, especially at this time of the year when it is damp and items get ruined when left outside. Please also check that everything is named for easy owner identification. Lost and found items are put in the lost property room and lists are published on Schoology several times a week.

Woodford House Parents’ Association AGM
All parents and caregivers are invited to attend the WHPA AGM on Monday 22 May. We will meet at 6pm in the Bernard L Chambers Founders’ Room for refreshments. The AGM commences at 6.30pm followed by a general meeting and WHPA update. If you are interested in formally joining the WHPA committee, please feel free to contact Robyn Burns, President  andrewrobyn.burns@gmail.com / 021 813 212 or download a nomination form here. Forms can be left at the school office or emailed to Robyn.  Please note, you do not need to be a committee member to attend meetings or be part of the WHPA – your views and feedback are highly valued and new faces are warmly welcomed.

Save the date – Year Level drinks
Join the Parents’ Association for drinks and canapes and help join the dots - match your daughter’s friends to their parents!  This is a fantastic opportunity to meet parents with similar aged girls and forge your own friendships at Woodford House.
Date: Thursday 6 July
Venue: Vidals, St Aubyn St, Hastings
Time: Evening (exact time TBC)
Further details will be communicated shortly. In the interim, the WHPA would love to hear if you are interested in joining them. Please indicate your expression of interest here: https://goo.gl/forms/QaiNwqlPmubeMb7z1
