Why is Conway Stewart's Series 100 pen held in such high esteem - particularly in its Classic Green form? It must be its subtly curved shape, the elegance and luxury of solid gold fittings and the richness of the deep green acrylic which combine to give it an appeal that's second to none.
The Series 100 range was introduced in 2005 to celebrate Conway Stewart's centenary, but its subtle shape and decoration took their lead from a much earlier period - the 1920s when the Model 58 was first introduced. The Series 100 is 'Big Brother' to the Model 58 in almost every respect apart from the size. Place them side by side and there's almost no difference in the shape - it's only the overall size and differences in the gold band configurations that stand the Series 100 apart.
But combine those features with the richness of the Classic Green acrylic, the dark and light green flecks with the occasional hint of brown and you have a world-beater... the quintessential English luxury pen.
