A warm welcome to our Spring 2017 newsletter

We at the EPT believe that providing information about ectopic pregnancy helps families understand what is happening at a very difficult time in their lives. Empowering women and their families results in an increase in their personal knowledge and reduces a degree of stress and confusion, helping the healing process. In light of this, we have an innovative offering in our support services to share with you and thank you for helping us work towards our aim to ensure no family suffers alone.

EPT1000 hitting the headlines

EPT1000 has been a tremendous success, raising the awareness of ectopic pregnancy and helping people understand a condition that is not widely known.

One campaign in particular touched the hearts and minds of many. Kerri and George Stedman gave a touching account of the ectopic pregnancy that changed their life which went viral and was shared by many national news outlets.

Emma Jolly shared with the world how her son helped save her life after she suffered an ectopic pregnancy. During the campaign, this brave mum raised over £1,200 in just one week.

Our amazing volunteers draw attention to the dangers of ectopic pregnancy and how it has affected their lives. Take part in EPT1000.

Skype face-to-face support group

An ectopic pregnancy can be a lonely and tragic period in your life. You may find it difficult to connect with other people and talk about how you’re feeling. We are offering the chance for those struggling to escape isolation to connect with others who have been in the same or similar situation.

In our Skype face to face support group, talk about your feelings, share your experiences, and help others by helping yourself. Groups are small, ensuring everyone has opportunity to interact with the group. Take part in our Skype support group. If you prefer the written word, our forum is also available at any time.

Handmade keepsakes

We are touched by the work our volunteers do to raise money, that helps us provide information and support to those affected by ectopic pregnancy. One of our Scottish volunteers creates stunning handmade keepsakes. Shop online for beautiful trinkets, badges and stylish dresswear and all the money raised goes directly to our Trust.

Virgin London Marathon 2017

We cannot thank the fundraisers enough who ran this year's London Marathon for the Trust. Each fundraiser raised between one and two thousand pounds and we could not be more delighted with the results. They came up with brilliant creative ideas and intensively trained for the event, to help support couples impacted by ectopic pregnancy.

Jon was a late joiner to this year's team and inspired us with his hard work in training and fundraising. Jon pledged that if he reached his target by the day of the Marathon he would dye his hair purple! He smashed his personal best, finishing in an amazing 03:33:43.

Andrew was another dedicated member of our VLM17 team and, despite getting injured at 16 miles, still pushed on to finish in an impressive 04:22:46.
