UNITY CELEBRATION MOVES TO
JUNE 16th

The Leadership Group has decided on an important change of date.  Instead of holding the planned Unity Assembly on 23rd May, there will be a 'Great Big Get Together' on 16th June to celebrate both MK's unity of community and Iftar, the breaking of the Muslim fast. We will invite all candidates for parliamentary election on 8th June to attend, and those who have been elected will be asked to talk to us all about their plans for representing our interests.  We will also ask them to hear about the importance to Citizens:mk of social justice, inclusion and welcome.

Friday 16th June 2017, 7.30-10.30pm,
Campbell Park Pavilion, MK9 4AD

VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE IS UNDERWAY-
TRAINING 15th MAY
The deadline for voters to register for the upcoming parliamentary election is 22nd May. Leaders are encouraged to promote voter registration within their institutions. Here are some ideas:
  • talk about it at Friday/Saturday/Sunday religious events and/or through 121s with people who may not know how to register
  • print the poster (link below) and put it on noticeboards
  • send through mailing lists and newsletters (include the poster as an insert, or include the blurb and link in an existing newsletter or mass email)
  • and via social media (tweet or post the link).
