Resurrection Voices
FYI Thanks You!
We want to thank you all for your support of the FYI "Show Us Your Twenties" Dinner. We had a wonderful evening together with a delicious dinner, fun games, and lots of socializing. Our high school students did a fantastic job hosting the event for our guests! The graduating seniors shared thoughtful reflections about the value of mission trips and their favorite memories. This event wouldn't be possible without your support, so once again we thank you!

SOPHIA Movie Night
Monday, May 22 at 7 p.m.
This month’s featured film is “Salam Neighbor,” in which two Americans head to the edge of war, just seven miles from the Syrian border, to live among 85,000 uprooted refugees in Jordan's Za'atari camp. As the first filmmakers allowed by the United Nations to register and set up a tent inside a refugee camp, Zach and Chris plunge into the heart of the world's most pressing humanitarian crisis.
From Um Ali, a woman struggling to overcome personal loss and cultural barriers, to the street-smart, 10-year-old Raouf, whose trauma hides just beneath his ever present smile, Zach and Chris uncover inspiring stories of individuals rallying against all odds to rebuild their lives and those of their neighbors.
The movie lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes. There will be a short discussion after the movie. Popcorn and beverages will be available.

Transition Team Timeline Project
Last week’s question: What do Church of the Resurrection, First Congregational Church in Hartland and St. Anskars Episcopal Church have in common?
Answer: In 1993, the three churches together formed the Hartland Area Youth Ministry.
So why are we peppering you with all these tidbits from our past? This summer, we will be digging deep into our past as we create a congregational timeline. Beginning on Sunday, June 4, a huge paper timeline will be taking up many of the walls of our church. We invite you to post pictures (or just write a few words) on the timeline commemorating some of your family's milestones with our church: baptisms, confirmations, weddings, funerals, or other important moments in your families' lives. It will be fun to see just how much Church of the Resurrection has meant to so many of us!

Blood Drive Update:
Thank you to all who donated blood on Monday, May 8.
The drive was a success with 18 attempting donors and 15 successful blood draws, which will help up to 45 patients in need.
Garden Plots
The Community Garden plots are available and ready for spring planting! Plots are approximately 10x10. You many request more than 1 plot. If one is too big, share a plot with someone or request 1/2 plot.
The garden is open to people in the church and to members of the community at large. This is ideal for apartment dwellers or anyone who does not have a sunny space at home for a garden. The produce is for your own family's enjoyment. If we are blessed with an abundance of produce, the Food Pantry always appreciates fresh vegetables.
Contact Dennis Faherty at dfaherty30@gmail.com for more information.
Thank you,
Dennis Faherty

Community Input Project
The Transition Team wants to find out what our community thinks about us. During the month of May, we will be approaching several dozen of our neighbors—people in the grocery store, local business owners, other churches, students and teachers in the schools, our friends and neighbors—to learn what they know about our church and their impression of us.
Why are we doing this? We will be preparing a Ministry Site Profile that we will use to market to senior pastor candidates. This profile includes a number of in-depth questions about our church and community, and how our church fits into the community. We want to make sure the document accurately reflects our congregation so we can find exactly the right fit in a senior pastor.
Have you gotten impatient with the transition process? Help us! Community input cards are available at the Welcome Table—grab a few and ask some of your friends and neighbors what they think of our church. Any and all information will be included in the profile.
Do you have other questions about what the Transition Team is doing? We just updated the Q&A on sharefollowserve.com at the beginning of May—check it out!
