VisuALS' life changing impact

Transition

At the end of April, the initial developers of the VisuALS software graduated from Oklahoma Christian and began their corporate careers for Texas Instruments, Lockheed Martin, and Paycom. That doesn't mean they've abandoned the VisuALS vision. Aubrey, Josh, Preston, and Tyler are all continuing as Technical Advisors, helping the new team carry the work forward to the marketplace.
On May 1, a new team of young, talented developers started working for VisuALS Technology Solutions, LLC. Over the coming months, we'll introduce you to Addison, Brendan, McKenna, and Preston. The VisuALS management team of Austin, Jevon, Russ, and Steve also became focused on the mix of the mundane and strategic tasks involved in preparing to officially launch a product to market in September.

Winners!

They say success breeds success. We certainly hope that's the case as VisuALS, the business, is being birthed out of VisuALS, the school project that just won the small business division of the 2017 Love's Entrepreneurs Cup business plan competition.

Incredible Coverage

Nothing captures hearts more than college kids helping a man tell his wife that he loves her with an affordable, easy to use solution. One of the exciting aspects of our launch has been the incredible media coverage the story has engendered. We are grateful to Carl and Janice Phelps for their willingness to share how they have been blessed through VisuALS.

KFOR, the local Oklahoma City NBC affiliate ran the first news story, which was then picked up by NBC stations in Boston, ChicagoBaton Rouge, Montgomery, Tucson, Honolulu, and many more. Next, NBC's Today show ran the story on their website, which then was also picked up by too many sites to mention.
CBS' Inside Edition was the next to carry the story.  ALS News Today also picked up the story. And most recently, the story made the cover of Visions, Oklahoma Christian's alumni magazine.

Progress

The new developers are already making tremendous progress, adding features, improving usability, making the software work on various screen sizes, and setting up critical processes and systems necessary to operate a scalable business.

Meet the Team: Austin McRay

Austin McRay is a co-founder and the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for VisuALS. Austin is a 2016 Marketing graduate from Oklahoma Christian with an emphasis on professional selling. He's currently pursuing his MBA at OC. Since graduating, Austin has been one of the managers of Altimeter Software, LLC, where he has successfully closed sales with multiple universities and high schools. For a young man, Austin has a surprising breadth of sales and marketing experience, having previously sold roofing services door-to-door and launched an eCommerce business. Sales is something that Austin finds interesting because it allows him to connect with complete strangers. Austin cares deeply about connecting and forming relationships with people and his hope is to turn every stranger that he meets into a friend.
