California’s carbon market saw positive growth last week as doubts over the program’s longevity show signs of settling. Innovate4Climate 2017 Side Event:

 

California Cap-and-Trade Program - Analysis of Results to Date and Prospects for the Future

Jointly organised by the World Bank Group and IETA and hosted in Barcelona, Innovate4Climate will bring together business and finance leaders, multilaterals, and governments from around the world to meet to discuss and accelerate climate action.

Hosted by The American Carbon Registry, CaliforniaCarbon.info's Billy Hamshaw will be joining an expert panel on Tuesday afternoon to discuss California's successful carbon program. Panelists will provide an overview of key market design elements, discussing the results of the first four years of market operations and offer prospects for extension of the program through 2030.

This side event will be held on Tuesday, 23 May at 13.30-14.30 in Room 4.
