PNH Staff Updates
New Members to the PNH Family
Springtime is the time for little ones. We would like to send out a big CONGRATULATIONS to PNH Guide Kevin Bibby who had a little baby girl this spring and PNH Guide "Shred" Ed Shanley who had a little baby boy. We cannot wait to meet them.
Romance in the Chugach
With the engagement of PNH guide Paul Krekow and Laura Kearsley what else can we say other than it's just awesome! We are so happy for them! Paul met Laura at Points North a couple of years ago and the special connection and magic between them was pretty apparent to all of us! Paul was always late for the guide meetings that year. He was in a tragic accident this past summer after a lady ran him over on his bike and we really did not think he would be back to join us this year. With his incredible stamina and will to heal, and of course Laura by his side, he was back to better than ever. He surprised us all on week 7 by asking Laura to marry him in the “Pencil Coulior” just next to “Coogans". Laura, who is an incredibly talented athlete herself, as well as a doctor, has since become a big part of the PNH family. Paul is extremely lucky she said yes and we are lucky to have them both!
Squaw Valley Royalty
Allen Riley: PNH could not be more proud of "Allz" being named the new Chief of the Squaw Valley Fire Department. Allen has been working for the SVFD for over 25 years. He is now the man in charge!
Will Paden, “Commander Will": After 24 years of his hard dedication and work at Squaw Valley / Alpine Meadows, Will was named the new Director of the Squaw Valley Patrol. What an accomplishment!
Both of these guys have been part of the PNH family for many, many years. Although their busy schedules do not allow them to come up to PNH each year, they will always be a large part of what we do here and we could not be more happy and proud of their new and exciting roles in life!
Heli Ski US President Re-Elected & Mechanized Guide School at PNH in 2018
We are truly honored that Kevin was re-elected as president of the Heliski US Association. This will mark his 8th year as President. The HSUS Mechanized Guide School will once again return to Ruby Mountain and PNH this next spring so look for information on our school coming out in the next few weeks. If you ever wanted to become a heli-ski guide, this is an opportunity you may not want to miss out on.
