Matthew’s Story: Remembering his Oma - L’Histoire de Matthew  


Matthew shared a special bond with his grandmother. By participating in the Walk for Alzheimer’s each year, it is his way of honouring her memory and turning his feelings of loss into positive action.

Ontario Achieves a Fully-Funded Dementia Strategy!

Le gouvernement de l'Ontario a annoncé son investissement en vue d'une stratégie provinciale sur les troubles cognitifs


We are pleased to share that on April 27th, 2017, Ontario Finance Minister, Charles Sousa, introduced the 2017 Ontario Budget, A Stronger, Healthier Ontario, which included a commitment to invest more than $100 million over three years towards the implementation of a dementia strategy in Ontario.

Plus de 100 millions de dollars sur 3 ans ont été alloués pour la Stratégie ontarienne en matière de démence afin de soutenir les personnes atteintes de troubles cognitifs et les personnes qui prennent soin d'elles, par le biais de services mieux coordonnés et renforcés.

Partnering together fore Alzheimer's


Kia Canada Inc. and PGA TOUR golfer David Hearn have launched The David Hearn Foundation Kia Grant - a joint initiative to encourage and enable junior golfers to give back to their communities by recognizing their local Alzheimer Society chapter. The grant will award two junior golfers each with a $4,500 cheque to direct to the local Alzheimer Society chapter of their choice. Application is now open for entries.
