GOLDEN ACORN NOMINATION

What is a Golden Acorn Award? A Golden Acorn Award is presented by a local PTA or council to a school or community volunteer in recognition of her or his dedication and service to children and youth. Since the beginning of this program in the 1930s, more than 54,000 Golden Acorn Awards have been presented to volunteers throughout Washington state. Recipients receive a certificate and pin, and a contribution is made in their name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program that benefits students."

We are looking for parents that have gone above and beyond in their contributions to the Lafayette community, enrich our school and leave a strong legacy for others to follow. This award is about appreciation of their dedication and the positive impact that they have made.

SPRING FLING CARNIVAL IS MAY 18TH 5:30PM TO 8PM

Time to celebrate Spring with the Lafayette community. Spring Fling is a carnival of fun for the whole family at the school. We will have games in the gym, food, bouncy house, photo booth and prizes to win!

Nom Nom Nominating Committee, Yum!

YOU can help find the next great Lafayette PTA Officers by joining the Lafayette PTA Nominating Committee. This committee must be made up of dues paying Lafayette PTA members in good standing. This committee will seek out candidates for PTA Officer positions that are available starting in the 2017-18 school year including Co-Secretary, and Vice President/President. If you would like to be on the nominating committee please sign up or email the Lafayette PTA Board. If you are thinking of joining the board it is also a great opportunity to reach and find out from the current board what the job entails and time commitment involved. Parents that work full-time, part-time, etc have all done these positions with success and it is a great way to get involved in school and a make difference.
