The Well Project:
THANK YOU!
Hi <<First Name>>,
We would like to deeply thank each and every one of you who has given financially to the well project and/or who has been praying us through it.
Beyond what we expected, we were able to raise over $50,000 to get us started. We serve an awesome God!
The drilling phase is now complete, and what a story it makes! We did not hit significant water in any of the three locations we had originally identified through the water study. However, on the spur of the moment, the drilling company agreed to drill for us at an unplanned fourth location.
This site was on Lemuel's garden land. And we hit water! Not only that, but--in one of those little surprises it seems only God could have arranged--we realized after the fact that we had drilled right in the middle of "the sun"...

So, what's next?
We have already purchased a pump and a generator to set up a pumping system on the well, and we are waiting for them to arrive in country. For the next several months, we will pump the well and monitor water quality/quantity. Once we have a better understanding of how much and what kind of water we have, we can decide how to move forward in developing that resource.
We will continue to keep you updated as things progress.

Moving Forward, Reaching Out

The well project is not the only exciting thing that has been happening on the Plateau.
Over the Easter weekend, a delegation from the Plateau church went to the mountain community of Nanyila. On Saturday, they walked around the neighborhood, visiting and encouraging the sick and handicapped and sharing the Gospel at various homes.
On Sunday, they celebrated Easter with the church in Nanyila. A group of the youth had prepared some special music to share. The Plateau church also took gifts of food to share with the people of Nanyila, which they separated out and distributed to people after the service.

In the next month and a half, we will be wrapping up the 2016-2017 work year. We will also be thinking, praying, and planning for next year. Please pray for much wisdom and stamina as we do this. Thank you for standing with us!
