GstQTOverlay v0.3.0

RidgeRun Product

GstQtOverlay is a GStreamer plug-in that renders QT graphics on top of a video stream. The rendered GUIs will be available not only at the video display, but also embedded in file recordings and network streaming, This brings together the best of the two worlds:
- Modularity and extensibility of GStreamer
- Beauty and flexibility of QT

GstQtOverlay makes heavy use of OpenGL and DMA hardware accelerators in order to achieve high performance overlay rendering. Graphics are modeled using QT's QML and loaded at runtime, which enables fast, powerful and dynamic GUI implementation.

GstQtOverlay element speeds up development time, eases quick prototyping and reduces time-to-market without impacting performance.

GStreamer Daemon v0.6.0

RidgeRun Open Source Project

GStreamer Daemon, also called gstd, is a GStreamer framework for controlling audio and video streaming using TCP connection messages. This framework is ideal for Qt applications, web interfaces, and GStreamer element test suites. GStreamer Daemon is gst-launch on steroids where you can create a GStreamer pipeline, play, pause, change speed, skip around, and even change element parameter settings all while the pipeline is active. Gstd abstracts much of the complexity of writing GStreamer applications and encapsulates lots of boilerplate code.

New features included in this version are:

  • Support for more property types: caps, enums, flags, etc...
  • Bus message feedback
  • Pipeline event sending
  • Dynamic debug level control
  • Bug fixes and enhancements

See our developer's wiki for more information on GStreamer Daemon.

GstShark v0.4.1

RidgeRun Open Source Project

GstShark is going Open Source! GstShark is a bench-marking and profiling tool for GStreamer pipelines. It provides a front-end for GStreamer's tracing subsystem, presenting high level data for analysis and performance tuning. Perform quick studies by dumping data to GStreamer's debug, or more complete studies by logging data into a standard CTF dump. GstShark helps you to understand the inners of your pipeline with comprehensive data and plots, in an efficient, GStreamer friendly way.

Tracers included in this release:
- Pipeline Dot Graph
- Framerate
- Processing Time
- Schedule Time
- CPU Usage
- Inter-Latency
- Bitrate
- Queue Level
- Identity

See our developer's wiki for more information on GstShark

SyncSnap

RidgeRun Product

SyncSnap application allows for synchronized snapshots between cameras on the same board. Syncsnap application uses a client–server model design approach. The application consist of three basic sections:

- A daemon application that runs as a state-machine process for handling snapshots on the Tegra X1 (syncsnapd)
- A library to expose all of the methods available for the server application (libsyncsnap)
- A client application which uses the API exposed from the library to send commands to the daemon process (syncsnap).

Currently SyncSnap has been tested on TX1 boards with up to six cameras taking synchronized snapshots, other features that are currently under development are:

- Ability to synchronize capture pipelines using a PTP Clock (sync capture between boards).
- A library to integrate calls
- TX2 support

See our developer's wiki for more information on SyncSnap

NVIDIA TX2 Support

RidgeRun Announcement

RidgeRun is happy to announce his official support for the new Tegra X2 SoC from NVIDIA. Over the last decade RidgeRun has been creating products widely used in the all the important industries, medical, security and broadcasting just to mention some of them, this required a deep understanding on image processing and analysis and how to mix them with Gstreamer to create successful products.

The main way to access the capture capabilities of Tegra X and the powerful accelerators available is through Gstreamer which puts RidgeRun in a great position to support new designs through our SDK, V4L2 drivers and Gstreamer add-ons.

Tegra X2 provides all the hardware encoding and decoding accelerators and a power GPU to convert our existing products in more powerful and efficient tools that can now handle up to 4K@60fps H265 video. RidgeRun is working right now with a lot of customers creating their new generation of products based in Gstreamer, please contact us if you want our help with your product.

See our developer's wiki for more information on RidgeRun's support for TX2
