Seattle Actor with Autism Nationally Celebrated

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, coming soon the Paramount Theatre this summer, is based on the popular novel by Mark Haddon of the same name. The Tony Award winner for Best Play tells the story of Christopher John Francis Boone, a British 15-year-old who is on the autism spectrum.

This production stars local actor Mickey Rowe. Rowe, who is autistic and legally blind, has performed several times at Seattle Children’s Theatre and other Seattle stages. He has played this role in productions with Indiana Repertory Theater and Syracuse Stage. The progressive casting of this play has already received national attention.
