Big Sale for George McClements!
We'd like to extend a big congratulations to George McClements. Recently, Where Y'Art facilitated a sale for him totaling over $10,000!

Here's the story

Beginning with a local, word-of-mouth recommendation of Where Y'Art as "the best website for local art", a visitor  from New Jersey checked out the website and discovered George's work. She dropped by the gallery and was saw George's piece that was included in the Southern Abstraction show.

After working with the team to curate a collection of George's work that she would like to see, we coordinated a showing at the gallery of more than 10 of George's works. She was planning on buying one piece and ended up walking away with 4 pieces. Making these kind of connections is what Where Y'Art is all about. Keep the community spirit going! Congrats again, George!
New Work at Satellite Galleries
We recently switched out the artwork at two of our satellite galleries. If you're in Central City, you can find several of Sean Randall's portraits over at Trepwise - a local organization that helps entrepreneurs establish and grow their brand. Before Sean's work was installed, Patty Elstrott sold 2 pieces from the Trepwise space!

In addition, Muffin Bernstein sold work while she was showing at ManhattanJack, one of our satellite galleries. The Prytania St. coffee and sweet-treat shop is now showing several of Nurhan Gokturk's pieces over the next few months. Stop by and check it out.

If you are interested in showing work at either of these spaces, email heather@whereyart.net
Tips to Improve Your Profile
and Boost Sales
You all should have received an email last week that included a few ways to make the most of your Where Y'Art membership We've been seeing TONS of increased traffic and sales on the site due to features in Hemisphere magazine, and online stories in Paste and Vogue. Word is getting out that we are not only a place for the everyday person to purchase art, but a source for designers and collectors.

In meetings and conversations with commercial clients and designers, we pitch directly from the website. It is crucial that your page stays up to date with your latest work. One of the largest inconsistencies we've seen is with the "Featured Works" selection in the back end. Featured Works are a single image that best represents who you are as an artist. It shows up on one of our most high traffic pages, the "Discover Artists" page. Go through your works on the site and make sure that only one is selected as the feature work.

Also, be sure you're adding any pertinent tags, as this is how people find you and it boost SEO. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email heather@whereyart.net.
