Biblica Publishing (The International Bible Society) has GENEROUSLY donated 4,000 R4L Bibles to Love Botswana for distribution to club participants. This new edition of the R4L Bible has been modernized and rebranded to stay current in reaching today’s young people. Reach4Life materials are specifically designed for discipling African students from a biblical perspective.

The Botswana Ministry of Education has extended an invitation to Love Botswana to begin Reach4Life Clubs in the approximately 12 public primary schools in and around Maun.

The invitation is for immediate implementation of the programs in these schools,

NEXT STEPS:
We are beyond excited to share with you these opportunities and dream together of the potential for far-reaching impact on the country of Botswana, and Africa as a whole. The Reach4Life Program is bringing renewed attention and interest and because of this, media invitations are being extended to the ministry. Within the next few weeks, representatives from the R4L team will travel to Gaborone to take advantage of these opportunities and spread the word about the program through national media exposure.

In addition to the upcoming media blitz, our staff is planning the FIRST EVER annual Reach4Life Botswana Conference to take place at the Life Centre in Maun in mid-July, 2017. This will be the second time Reach4Life has had a major gathering to educate young people and their parents about the after-school clubs. The first was the 2015 R4L Botswana 10^th Anniversary Celebration (click for details) attended by approximately 1900 young people. That conference was a launching point for new programs in local schools and increased attendance among students in existing clubs. Because of that success, the decision has been made to make this an annual affair. The conference will include speakers from R4L and other abstinence-based initiatives throughout Africa. Most importantly, however, young people will hear alumni share the impact Reach4Life has had on their personal life journeys and invite others to participate.

Initial funding of $10,000 is needed for transportation, media
