We have a fractured start to our season - but there's the NZ Mixed Fours over Queen's Birthday weekend
Auckland Curling
AuckCC logoHi <<First Name>>

We hope you're enjoying your season so far. Unfortunately we have an enforced break for a few Sundays, but there's still plenty to look forward to.

Breaks in Sunday league

Every season we lose a few Sundays to the NZ Ice Hockey league, and 2017 is no exception. The NZIHL has a double header / home and away draw, so when the West Auckland Admirals are hosting another team they play at Paradice on both the Saturday and Sunday evenings.

There are also 3 extra Sundays with other bookings - two of them for curling events. Sundays with NO club curling this year are
  • May 21st (this Sunday, other booking) and 28th (NZIHL)
  • June 4th (NZ Mixed Fours Championship) and 18th (NZIHL)
  • July 2nd and 30th (both NZIHL)
  • Possibly 27th August (if Admirals qualify 1st for NZIHL final)
  • September 30th (NZ Secondary Schools Championship)

NZ Mixed Fours - Queen's Birthday

The 2017 NZ Mixed Fours Championship will be played on the Sunday evening and Monday morning of Queen's Birthday Weekend (4 and 5 June).

This tournament is NOT just for those striving for medals or a place in the New Zealand Mixed Fours team. It's a great opportunity for an early-season "curling intensive" for curlers of all abilities, with 4 or 5 games over the two days.

And of course, it's also a lot of fun. Find out more here.

National Tournaments and Junior Camp

In fact, with snow on the ground in Central Otago today it would be more accurate to say that winter is here.

So it's time to register for national tournaments and camps, and for prospective NZ representatives to send their self-nomination forms to the selectors.

Click here for details of the NZ Men's and Women's Championships, Under-21 Championships, Junior Training Camp and self-nomination forms.
