Two Houses One Heart

June 2017

Our Journey Continues...

We're getting closer to our $4.8 million goal
Currently we have less than $700,000 left to raise to complete the campaign.  We look forward to welcoming our first guests at the Henson Avenue Cottage in mid-July!
We’re going on Parade

Parade of Homes that is!  Come see us in the Home Builders Association of Western Michigan’s Annual Parade of Homes, June 9-17.  While not yet 100% complete, the Henson Avenue Cottage will be featured House #1 on this year’s tour.  This will offer the public the first opportunity to see what we have been working so diligently toward.  Tickets ($12) are available in advance at Harding’s Markets, Lake Michigan Credit Unions or by calling the HHH at 269-341-7811.  For more information, visit the Home Builders Association of Western Michigan's website.
Commemorative paving bricks will be sold at the Henson Avenue Cottage during the Parade of Homes. Or, bricks can be ordered by calling the HHH office, 269-341-7811 or online at www.hhhkz.org.  They are $60 each.  There is a limit of three (3) lines, fourteen (14) characters/ spaces/ punctuation per line.  This is a lovely way to honor Dad for Father’s day, remember someone special or note an important event.
Burdick Street Cottage is moving forward
We are in the process of finalizing the drawings and getting site plans underway.  As soon as we formally receive the property from Bronson Healthcare we will get the necessary city approvals and plan to break ground this fall.
Thank you to these HBAWMI donors, participants & friends....

...and, thank you to the Log Cabin Quilters who have been busy piecing and stitching away, having promised two quilts per bed per Cottage as their gift to the new Cottages.  That’s a lot of quilts!  Many of these works of art can be seen during Parade of Homes.  This is not the first time that these quilters have filled our home with beautiful quilts and we are grateful that our guests will be able to continue to wrap themselves in the loving warmth of this wonderful gift.
HHH featured at Chamber Connect event

Secant Technologies hosted a Chamber of Commerce event on April 26, benefiting the Hospital Hospitality House.  Attendees learned about the House and our impact on the community.  We are grateful for the opportunity to talk about the House and for Secant’s willingness to work with us to guide our technology needs for the new Cottages.
