Dear Parents and Stakeholders,
     Last evening the ASB Governance Council met to discuss a successor for Principal at ASB School. They decided to recommend an interim principal for the coming academic year. The reason for this was that at this time of the year school Principals have already made their commitment for the following year, except one principal of a very small school, the remainder of the pool of candidates available were teachers with Principal Certification but no experience as Principal.
        The council recommended to me that we appoint Mrs. Kathleen Conklin as interim principal for the coming academic year and I accepted their recommendation. Kathleen as you may be aware has been a teacher at ASB for the past ten years and has her Principal Certification. Kathleen has been exercising leadership qualities in the school over the last two years. She is aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the school and has vision and energy to lead us through this coming year.
      The Council recommended that they set up a search committee in the beginning of 2018 (most likely February) for a Principal and survey the parents and stakeholders and faculty on their vision for ASB into the future.
