George Herbert was not just a pious priest but a man of passion, music and poetry. This day will include readings, reflection, discussion and teaching on this intriguing priest of Bemerton. Tuesday 13 June, 10am to 4pm. £50

What was it like to pilgrimage to the Holy Land so soon after the Roman Empire tolerated Christianity? This lecture joins the Spanish nun Egeria and the anonymous Pilgrim of Bordeaux as they explore the lands of the Bible. Thursday 6 July at 7pm. £7.50

The children’s section of the Sarum College Bookshop has had a facelift thanks to a grant from the best-selling US author James Patterson. Sarum College was among 62 independent bookshops across the UK and Ireland to receive funds following the final phase of the author and philanthropist’s scheme to fund independent bookshops with a dedicated children’s book section. Read more...
