Happy Fourth of July!
Have a safe and glorious celebration. Make it am
ΔΖing.
We're Global Citizen's

In early June Delta Zeta Gina Kruckenberg and her husband Brian along with a group of other ministry leaders from Phoenix and around the world had the opportunity to meet with Pope Francis. For Gina it was a tremendous blessing and experience to gather and talk about church unity and what it would look like to fulfill the prayer of Jesus in John 17. Brian is the lead pastor at New City Church located in the heart of downtown Phoenix.

Delta Zeta's spend a lot of our time together working with others to make our communities, and those the world over, better. Thanks Gina

 Tucson Alumnae Chapter
On a hot summer day, the Tucson Alumnae of Delta Zeta met on June 12th for a cool and fun luncheon at the Grill at Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch. Picture is from that June luncheon.

Five new sisters joined the group to enjoy an afternoon of wonderful banter and business. Joining us were Carol Anne McDougal, Nancy Rose Bowman, Bonnie Keyner, Donna Wertz, and Linda Huizinga. We are so overjoyed to have them become a part of our young and growing Tucson Area Alumnae Chapter.

Briana Russo, secretary, sent a report from Long Island, New York where she was visiting family. She is diligently working on getting Tucson Alumnae on the social media map with a tentative date during the month of July.

Nancy Karsh, treasurer, volunteered to begin working on the By-Laws with the previous template. The revised one will be ready by the end of this month.

Karen Ray, Tucson Panhellenic representative, gave a brief report on the final meeting of our area association before recess began for the summer. She is looking forward to her involvement as she was previously a member of the very active Richardson, Texas Panhellenic chapter.

Oscar, the turtle will be traveling to the north rim of the Grand Canyon; Nova Scotia including Halifax, Prince Edward Island, Bay of Fundi; Boston, Ma., White River Junction, Vermont with Suzan Bryceland and husband. He will have tales to tell at the August luncheon.

And finally, Vicki Hildebrand, Event Coordinator, provided the schedule for our luncheons: August 14th 2017 (Monday), October 14th 2017 (Founder's Day Celebration), December 11th 2017 (Holiday Luncheon).

All luncheons will be held at The Grill at Hacienda del Sol Resort, promptly at Noon.  Address: 5501 North Hacienda Del Sol Rd, Tucson, Arizona 85718. As reported by Briana Russo.
In the bonds of Delta Zeta, Suzan Bryceland, President, 404 824-3129  suzanbryceland@hotmail.com

We appreciate you and everything you do, Jessica! Your hard work never goes unnoticed. ❤️
Sister Spotlight-Morgan Wolters Moore
Currently the risk advisor for ASU's Pi Zeta Chapter, Morgan feels right at home there: She is a 2005 Pi Zeta initiate.

"I love the relationships I've formed through this organization from my time as a collegian to present day (advising)," she says. "I'm constantly inspired by all the strong and hardworking women that share the Delta Zeta letters!"

A busy career woman, Morgan is a Real Estate agent at My Home Group in Scottsdale. But when not out and about showing properties, she enjoys watching old movies such as Mildred Pierce (1945), Rebecca (1940), and American Beauty (1999) and reading (favorite book is Girl on the Train).

Morgan also likes to travel. "My favorite trip since graduating college has been to Italy," she says,
"but I am extremely excited about an upcoming trip to Napa in September with my husband Jeff."
We appreciate Morgan's continued involvement with Delta Zeta and look forward to seeing her at Phoenix Alumnae events.

In Memoriam

Three-time (1977-1981, 1987-1989) Delta Zeta National President Norma Minch Andrisek (Gamma Alpha, Baldwin College) passed away May 24. She dearly loved and honored our sorority, and her legacy will live on for generations.

“Whatever can be done through exchange, compromise and faith that best serves the interest of Delta Zeta is what we will do,” she once said.

From president of Gamma Alpha to national president, she led Delta Zeta through challenging times. Her vision created the first leadership conference in the fraternal world, in 1980. Her foresight was responsible for ground-breaking initiatives that moved Delta Zeta to a position of distinction among sororities.
