Summer Happenings

Dear <<First Name>>,
I'll be hopping during the months of June and July
with exciting workshops and classes.
Come and join me as we explore the many facets of Alexander Technique.

See you soon!  - Robbin

First up :  May 31st - THIS Wednesday

Come join me and a host of other Decatur Healing Arts professionals for Senior Health and Fitness Day at Dec Rec! We'll be there from 9 am - 1 pm. I'll be giving FREE hands-on turns, so folks can experience what Alexander Technique is like. I'll also have a sign up sheet for my new June Alexander Technique for Seniors Class, starting at noon on Tuesday, June 5 at DHA.
This special 4 week series will be designed to help seniors regain their ease and sense of security in balance and mobility.  If you're a regular student of mine, please drop by and "testify" about what Alexander Technique has done for you. I'd love to see you and give you a quick tune up and a big hug.
Class cost will be $60 for 4 weeks - a senior-friendly price!

Nothing like the view from the ground!

Here's a little inspiration for your next Constructive Rest session:

  • Find a lovely spot outdoors - near a garden, under a tree, on some soft cushiony grass.
  • Lie down with your knees up and legs bent, feet on the ground.
  • Place a book under your head to keep your hair clean and give you support.
  • Notice your breath - don't change it, just notice...
  • Watch what happens to your body as you begin to soften and enjoy the view!

June Atlanta Workshops

On June 12  I'll be giving an Alexander Technique workshop for Mary and Martha's Place as part of their 2017 Body Intelligence workshops. I'm excited to be returning to Mary and Martha's Place for a second year of uniting spirituality, mindfulness and embodiment using the Alexander Technique.

I'll also be teaching 2 special Alexander Technique sessions for ballet students during Dance Foundry's Summer Camp Session, June 12 - 16. If you have young dancers in your life, I highly recommend Dance Foundry's RAD ballet program, and their commitment to keeping dancers healthy with age-appropriate technique.

July at George Mason University

In July I'll be teaching one of my favorite classes ever, Alexander Technique for Music Teachers. Combining all the facets of my career, this is the class I wish I'd had when I was sitting on the floor or actively moving around with children all day long.  George Mason is in Fairfax, VA - but we have music teachers from all over the United States come and join us for our Kodály and Orff levels classes. My AT class will be the week before levels, July 10 - 14. If you have music teacher friends who could benefit from AT - send them my way!
