Tell us about yourself:
I am a centennial baby born in our nation’s capital in 1967 which is pretty cool. Calgary is home as my family roots are in Alberta for many generations. I have lived and worked in Calgary since I was 5 years old. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Geography 1990 from the University of Calgary earning an Academic Award during my 3rd year of study, a Human Resources Management Certificate from the University of Calgary and my Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification from the Canadian Payroll Association as formal education.
When you’re not at Simon House, what are you doing?:
Golf is my passion and I play about 80 rounds in a summer, many of which are competitive in nature. I hold a low handicap and compete in tournaments such as the city and provincial amateurs, as well as many local competitions. I am the current club champion at the Winston Golf Club. I enjoy the sport for the friendships made (many of which exceed 20 years in duration), being outdoors and experiencing nature. I have been fortunate to see up close golden and bald eagles, hawks, owls, weasels, deer, coyotes, great blue herons, many other birds and snakes. Golf is a game that appeals to my core nature of honesty and sportsmanship and is a very good way to get to know people.
