CEMS Alumni Association
May Newsletter
A new CEMS vision is on its way.
Dear <<First Name>>:
May and June are exciting times for CEMS and the CEMS Alumni Association.
First of all, the CEMS Strategic Board Meeting is currently being held at ESADE in Barcelona. The most important topic on the agenda is the new CEMS vision. We are grateful for all your contributions to this new vision the past year. We will share what has been discussed and decided in the next newsletter, also how you as CEMS alumni can continue to influence the CEMS community and its impact on business education and society.
In addition, we are currently in the process of interviewing, selecting and confirming new CAA Board Members. When we have the new CAA Board in place we will present them to you and their ideas for their three-year term.
Warmest regards. Your CEMS Alumni Association & Board,
Guillaume Klossa, Vivian Kap, Roland Siegers, Wieteke Dupain, Ning-Hsuan Yen, Michael Studer, Elmar Friedrich, Abhimanyu Julaniya, Vadim Gerstein, Ben Simsa and Arne-Steffen Möller

2. CEMS is 9th in the inaugural MIM ranking by The Economist
The CEMS MIM has been ranked 9th in the Master in Management Rankings by The Economist. Below you find the message from Roland Siegers, CEMS Executive Director.
"In an increasingly polarised world the fact that the CEMS Masters in International Management has been ranked number nine in the new Economist Masters in Management rankings is a timely reminder that global prosperity and peace are best served by breaking down barriers, rather than erecting them. CEMS, a global alliance of academic and corporate institutions exists to prepare future generations of international business leaders to lead organisations in a multilingual, multicultural and interconnected business world. Our graduates are global citizens who understand the value of cultural diversity and how it can be harnessed to create benefits for society as a whole. We look forward to the future with confidence, knowing that CEMS graduates will be leading in many of the world’s most significant organisations."

4. Local updates from CEMS Alumni Association Czech Republic
CEMS Students, Alumni, Teachers and Corporate Partners in the Czech Republic brainstorming about the future of CEMS! Building on the original idea of CEMS Roundtable initiated by Vojtech Oplestil (CEMS graduate from 2007), CEMS Alumni Association in the Czech Republic and the University of Economics, Prague organized at the end of March already a third event of such a kind. Four representatives from all core groups (CEMS students, alumni, teachers and corporate partners) met for a joint brainstorming event. The key goal was firstly to highlight main business trends influencing a current job market and secondly to design approach how CEMS can address them. As a result of this event, CEMS Alumni Association will run a broad survey among CEMS Alumni in the Czech Republic to name key topics that are relevant for CEMS Alumni and as of September 2017 will start organizing monthly professional and educational CEMS events.
Stay tuned! More news from Prague coming soon.
