CUMC Holiday Schedule Adjustment

In response to requests from the CUMC community, the medical center campus will have an adjusted December 2017 and January 2018 holiday schedule. The online University holiday calendars have been updated to reflect these changes. Please note these changes do not apply to the Morningside campus schedule.

Temporary Electrical Shutdown

The P&S building, Presbyterian Building, and Vanderbilt Clinic will be affected by an electrical shutdown the morning of Wednesday, June 14. For details visit the announcement page on the CUMC Facilities Management website.
 
George Washington Bridge Bus Station

The George Washington Bridge bus station reopened in mid-May. You can find information about the renovated station on the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey’s website.





Skills@Columbia Online Learning Classes Discontinued

Beginning Friday, June 30, Skills@Columbia online learning classes will no longer be available. However, you will continue to have access to the Lynda.com library of high-quality online learning courses.

Additionally, your Skills@Columbia learning history will no longer be accessible. If you would like to keep a record of completed online learning courses, you may print out your course completion certificates or download a copy of your personal learning history; instructions are here.

Migration to a New Email System

Over the next several months, CUMC IT will facilitate the migration of email accounts (@cumc.columbia.edu) to Microsoft Office 365, a cloud-based solution that is compliant with CUMC requirements for the protection of sensitive data. Among the improvements is increased storage space; every user will have 50 GB of storage with the option to pay for additional storage.

To learn more about the migration and how to prepare, visit http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/it/O365. Users also will be contacted directly in advance of the migration of their individual accounts.
