A Family Visit and the TexArt Workshop
After far too long of a hiatus, we enjoyed two days of sheer bliss together on a camping trip in the Cherokee National Forest. (View Blog) This was piggy backed by an enjoyable visit with Wes' parents here in the Smokies. (View Blog) Then we also took advantage of the opportunity to join fellow artist John Agnew and his wife Pat for a hike in the Abrams Creek area of the national park. (View Blog) It's been a fun-filled whirlwind!
And then ... we totally enjoyed ourselves as instructors this past week at the unique collaborative artist workshop between the Susan Kathleen Black Foundation and the Society of Animal Artists. The TexArt 2017 workshop was held on the campus of Schreiner University in the hill country of Kerrville, TX. OK, we were not that fond of the dorm mattresses but the fun in the classrooms and food and conversation in the cafeteria were lifetime memories. (View Blog)

The exhibition opens at The Stauth Memorial Museum in Montezuma, KS on June 11th and runs through September 3rd. We'll share photos as soon as we have them. The Hickory Museum of Art in Hickory, NC is now also part of the historic tour!
Paintings are being sold on the tour and shipped to collectors at the close of that venue. Copies of our books are usually available in the museum gift shops too! Want to see our miniature paintings on display near you? Please feel free to suggest museum venues especially if you have a contact relationship with the staff!

Wes has now been recognized by the SAA as a Distinguished Signature Member having been juried into 15 Annual Exhibitions! ~ We will be in attendance the opening weekend!
