Happy June everyone!

It's time for summer programs, beloved June festivals, and erratic weather... and AftA is visiting the Bay Area this year. Last month, we had another eventful Emergence — thank you to all who joined us, weathered the Bay to Breakers storms, and shared your time/skills/stories with us! — and celebrated the graduation of our Round VII Fellows! Now we prepare for another season of gatherings and workshops to strengthen our network and empower the arts workforce!

And, we want share your voice! Send us your blog posts, your news, your musings, your workshop ideas, and your professional development needs. We are a network TOGETHER, building a creative, equitable, and valued arts industry, and we're looking to collaborate with you to make EAP even better!

With gratitude,
Rhiannon

On Sunday, May 21st, Emergence 2017: Whole Person, Whole Impact — presented by Emerging Arts Professionals San Francisco/Bay Area and the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco — explored the impact of bringing our whole selves into our work and out into our community. It was a day of collaboration, of chaos, of connection. With about 75 attendees, a dozen projects and breakout sessions, two keynotes, and three graphic recordings, we were honored to share space and unpack some key issues facing the sector right now. These conversations will be on-going, and we look forward to communing with you over the next year to hash out these topics and to build skills and tools together.

We'll be uploading photos of the event, video of the keynotes, and more on the Emergence 2017 page over the next couple weeks, so check back often!

>> And, if you attended the event, please take a moment to fill out this short survey. Thank you!  :)
