DR RAJESH TANDON TO TALK “UNIVERSITY-CIVIL SOCIETY RELATIONS”


The Durban University of Technology will host a public lecture by Dr Rajesh Tandon, UNESCO Co-Chair on Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education.

The internationally acclaimed leader and practitioner of participatory research and development will address the DUT Community on Tuesday evening (17H45), 30 May 2017 at the Hotel School conference centre.

Njabulo Innocent Zungu and Nqubeko Ngema

NJABULO AND NQUBEKO TO NEW YORK

Njabulo Innocent Zungu and Nqubeko Ngema are two extremely talented Durban dancers. They attended the Durban University of Technology (DUT) from 2013 to 2015 and graduated with National Diplomas in Drama and performance studies specialising in Dance and Theatre In Education (TIE)

They also trained with the acclaimed Flatfoot Dance Company and Ngema has worked with the Playhouse Company’s Phakama Dance Academy.

Dime Maziba

MEET DIME MAZIBA, THE WRITER OF POLITICAL POETRY

Dime Maziba is an author, poet and third-year Financial Accounting student at the Durban University of Technology.

In exploring Harlem Renaissance and lyrical forms, Maziba discovered his artistic project on identification with the African masses. Since the discovery, his work has been highly influenced by South Africa’s well-known poet, Eugene Skeef.
