Love your work. Love your life.
Dear Friends,

On Tuesday I completed my fifth speech in seven days, and I was wiped. So I came home and inhaled my kids and will continue to through the long weekend. This is what work/life wellness looks like. Every day the ratio is different. In the end, making a conscious effort to tend to all of your slices makes a richer life.

How Daycare Delivers

It was recently announced that Apple’s new $5 billion campus has a 100,000-square-foot gym and no daycare. Despicable.

On Tuesday I spoke at Taco Bell and was awed by their on site daycare, which goes up to age five. Onsite daycare doesn't just impact the lives of the employees who use the daycare - it lends a community atmosphere to the entire culture. As the day ended, employees at Taco Bell were strolling out the front door with their own children in tow.

Onsite daycare is good for culture and great for the bottom line. Companies with on site daycare benefit from big tax credits. There’s no better way to inspire employee retention and to show employees: "We care about you." Let's hope more big companies follow Taco Bell’s lead.
