Did you know?
- Students have access to over 20 programs at the 916 Career & Technical Center because they are residents in one of the 14 school districts who are members of the Northeast Metro Intermediate School District 916.
- The 916 Career & Technical Center is located at Century College, we are a separate school with our own phone number, website, and main office.
- Each year we serve approximately 850 students who attend our programs for a portion of their school day.
- Over 2000 college credits were earned by our students last year alone.

2017-18 OPEN HOUSE- August 30, 2017
Mark your calendar for our Open House on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 anytime between 3:00 and 6:00 pm. Students and families will be able to learn more about 916 Career & Tech, visit the classroom, meet the teacher and possibly learn more about post-secondary education and employment opportunities at that time. Look for a welcome letter in August.

STUDENTS EXPERIENCE REAL-LIFE CAREER PREP
Thanks to Woodbury Police and Fire, our EMT, Law Enforcement and Auto program students got to experience working with the Jaws-of-Life and practice automotive rescue and scene management as well as experience the power of an airbag. AUTO TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM EARNS NATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Our Automotive Technology program earned national certification through ASE/NATEF. We completed the rigorous certification process which verified our curriculum, facilities and partnerships are following national best practices standards, which also allows us to offer industry certifications to our students. |

CONSTRUCTION STUDENTS BUILD FULL-SIZE HOUSE
Each year our Construction Occupations program students build a single-family home from the ground up thanks to a partnership with the City of North St. Paul, Century College and St. Paul College. HELICOPTERS AS CLASSROOMS? ONLY AT CAREER & TECH
Our Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice and EMT students had special guests from LifeLink. They heard about on-scene safety and what is needed to land a helicopter in emergency situations as well as how to approach the helicopter with a patient. STUDENTS EARN FREE COLLEGE CREDIT WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL
Each year our students earn over 2,000 college credits. In one program alone, students earn up to 13 credits that appear on their college transcript.
