Friday, my gypsy jazz project -- which I consider my main band, and one that I'll always have -- the Hot Club of Hawthorne returns to the Mock Crest Tavern, a fun lil joint in NoPo on Lombard St. with a venerable history of hosting live music!

Saturday, Jenny Sizzler -- the "comedy rock juggernaut" I've been playing with for 10 years -- celebrates the release of our 2nd CD, with a show at the O'Neill! Normally you have to drag me kicking and screaming into a studio, but thanks to the determination of our bandleader Chilli Most and some wizardry by producer Jordan Richter at Room 13 Recording Services, a fine album was produced. It's full of shredding lead work by yours truly, and worthy of a listen (and a laugh). Ironically, I'll play keys for this show, as we welcome back alumni Chris Canty on guitar for the night!

Washougal School of Music

The school is taking off! We've had 16 students so far. In a couple of weeks we'll be featured in an article in the local paper. And I've taken up the ukulele and offer lessons in it now! It's an instrument I never got around to, but it's so accessible, I see the appeal and potential!
