NSF Grant Writing Workshop for Two-Year College Faculty!
Dear Educators,

As you know, CREATE is an ATE Center funded by the National Science Foundation.

Below is the flyer for an exciting opportunity to learn about writing winning proposals for the National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education (ATE) program which funds innovation in community college technical programs and the S-STEM student scholarship program. This is a great opportunity for anyone who can attend this August 7-9 Ohio workshop. In addition to the workshop, accepted STEM faculty will be paired with a mentor to give them advice through the proposal writing process. Mentors are all former NSF Program Officers and one of them is CREATE's co-PI Kathy Alfano. Colleges can send one or two faculty who will get travel funding and a stipend. Contact the Ashland University office on the flyer ASAP if you are interested. You will be asked to submit a one page overview of your proposal idea. RSVP early, as the first notice went out this week and four college teams had signed up the first day. Only 50 faculty will be accepted and then a waiting list will start. If you have any questions before applying, you can also e-mail Kathy at kathy.alfano@canyons.edu. However, your official application must be made through Ashland University to hold your spot.

We hope that you will take advantage of this great NSF-sponsored opportunity,

The CREATE Team
