Outdoor Education Teacher | Golden Bay High School have 13 week contract position for an Outdoor Education Tutor from 28 June to 29 September 2017. They are looking for someone who has passion and sound subject knowledge for teaching and learning through the PE Curriculum. The school can organise a limited authority to teach, which means as long as you pass a police check you should be fine for this fixed term contract.

Get your Symposium registrations in...with a limit of 130, we reckon we will sell out this year! If you have registered for the Symposium, and are intending on doing a Refresher Workshop, then be sure to complete your Refresher Workshop application through the NZOIA Revalidation calendar. Registering for the Symposium covers your Refresher Workshop fee but does not guarantee you a space. You still need to apply for refresher workshops in the usual manner and it is first in with completed documentation first served. Symposium registrants have priority of place. RW applications close on 28 July 2017.
Nominations close on 30 June for the NZOIA Excellence Awards. These awardsrecognise the highest achievements of individuals involved in outdoor recreation, education and guiding in New Zealand. Nominations are requested from the membership for this year’s NZOIA Tall Totara, Emerging Instructor, Emerging Guide and Life Membership.
Get together with your colleagues and nomination someone you think is deserves recognition.
NZOIA's Tertiary Award recognises students who have a passion for outdoor instruction and show great potential for further involvement in the industry beyond their studies.
Annually we offer one award to each outdoor tertiary programme provider who has an MOU with us. Tertiary tutors make their own judgment as to who their successful student is by 30 June each year. Successful students receive complimentary registration to the 2017 NZOIA National Training Symposium and receive their award at the NZOIA Excellence Awards Dinner at the Symposium.
Q: I'm a student, how to I access my discount on membership?
A:If you are a current full time student, you are entitled to a $60 discount off your membership and registration fee. You will need to submit proof by uploading your Student ID card to your profile on our website. Go to Membership > Renew and this will discount the amount owing. You can then pay by credit card or via internet banking.
