Anyone looking for a Sociology PhD subject?

We've noticed we often get groups of dogs of similar size here at the same time, quite by chance.
Or is it?
Do households with similar sized dogs go on holiday at similar times? Big Labrador types, often just after the school holidays = recovery time for exhausted parents?! Pairs of smalls, generally school term time = sensible time to travel if you can.
And what are the chances of our recent four beagles all at the same time!
I'd love to know if it is just coincidence...
