Dear friends and family,

We hope our update finds you well as you engage with your summer plans, transitions, and responsibilities!
On our end, we're happy to have graduated from New Tribes Bible Institute (NTBI) on May 12th, which completes the first 2 years of the 4-year training program necessary to continue on as missionaries with Ethnos 360.
About a month ago, New Tribes Mission changed its name to Ethnos 360; same mission, just a new name. Click on the Ethnos 360 logo, if you would like to read more about why the name has changed.
Our lives have certainly been impacted and transformed in many ways throughout our time at New Tribes Bible Institute, as our thinking and value systems have been challenged and are still becoming aligned with God's Word. Of course this is to be expected as "the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12).
True Christianity is not a religion (man's attempt to reach God by his own merits); it is a living relationship with a living God, through His living Word and living Spirit, made possible through the sacrifice of His living Son (paraphrased from one of our teachers here at NTBI :).
It's bittersweet to be leaving good friends at NTBI and at Faith Bible Church. But we're also eager to continue with our next phase of training at the Missionary Training Center (MTC) near Camdenton, Missouri, in the Fall of 2017.
Watch a 4-minute preview of what our training will look like for the next two years at the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Missouri.
We will spend the majority of our summer living with family in Pensacola, FL, where Jonathan will have some work opportunities, and we will be able to reconnect with our friends at Grace Community Church.

Please be praying with us as we:
  • seek God’s direction over the next two years as to where He would have us to go geographically with Ethnos 360, and in what capacity He would have us serve.
  • for the health of our marriage, parenting wisdom, and diligence in school studies
  • for our kids to always feel like they are a part of our team
  • to continue to learn to trust, believe, know, and depend on God each day
  • for opportunities and boldness to share the good news with others along the way
  • for more laborers (Luke 10:2)
Point to Ponder: God enables what He requires or commands!! (this is a pretty amazing and biblical concept)
