Answered Prayer: Campers and Camperships

We praise the Lord for providing all of the scholarship funds our campers needed this summer! Thank you to each one who donated to make this possible. God also brought each needed staff member, and many more campers for Junior Camp than we have seen in several years.

Campers enjoyed great field games, learned lessons from God's Word, and made new friends. We studied topics like submitting to God's will and living out our faith.

At Junior Camp, many campers were unsaved. God clearly worked in their hearts, and by the end of the week, around ten had made professions of faith.

After receiving the Lord Jesus as her Savior, one young girl called her unsaved dad to tell him the good news. She asked him, "Do you even know what it means to be saved? It's okay if you don't, because I'm going to tell you all about it when I get home!" This story, and others like it, were such an encouragement throughout the week.

Thank you for praying for our campers. The Lord certainly answered your prayers!

Home with the Lord

Mrs. Ruth Wagner went to be with her Savior on June 14, 2017. She served the Lord as the camp's kitchen manager for nearly 50 years, taking countless opportunities to minister spiritually to her kitchen staff while also ministering to the physical needs of campers. Mrs. Ruth is dearly loved and missed by all of us, but we thank the Lord that she is finally with the Savior she talked about so much.

Progress Report: Restrooms and Crows' Nest

As part of our efforts to improve camp, both the Train Depot restrooms and the Crows' Nest have gotten a few upgrades.
At the Crows' Nest, new doors with big windows make the entrance more inviting. Old lighting has also been replaced, giving the room a much brighter, more welcoming feel.
The Train Depot restrooms are now in use! Fixtures and doors are working well. We just have some trim, trashcans, and a couple other details to finish up before thie project is officially done.

Coming Up Next...

Please continue to pray with us for upcoming camps. Two church camps and a variety of other groups will be coming over the next few weeks. At each of these camps, please pray for the following:
  • That the Holy Spirit would work in each heart and life: both in campers and in staff.
  • That the staff would have much-needed strength, would seek to serve the Lord, and would grow in their relationship with Christ.
  • That unsaved campers would receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  • That saved campers would grow in their relationship with the Lord.
Camp is also in need of a utility vehicle and mower. Please pray that God would give us wisdom to find the right equipment.

We thank the Lord for how He's already answered so many prayers this summer! And we look forward to sharing how God has worked at camp in the days ahead.

Thanks so much for reading and praying,
