CArtsCon 2017: ‘Art for Change’
18th - 21st July 2017
Register for your tickets - BOOK HERE
The conference's theme has been set as a creative conundrum. “Change” is typically seen as making something different, developing it, and/or moving it from one place or state to another.
Speakers come from a range of backgrounds seeking to open up debate & discussions about how art can drive change in ourselves, our relationships and bigger communities...
It is incredibly humbling to be able to have a dialogue with an artist who you admire... and thanks to the power of social media I've been in on & off communication with Phil Smith for a while now.

He is well know for his walking practice, writing and art making inspired by his walks and spending time in a range of spaces & places across the UK and beyond.

His latest book with Alyson Hallett is all about what happens to our walking practice when we are ill or injured... the flow of the book is a series of email 'conversations' / letters written between the pair.

It really delves into those difficult and often unspoken about areas of our lives that ben perceived to be so limited when we are ill or running at less capacity than before... hearten stuff not just for those of us who love to walk.
You can order their book via http://www.triarchypress.net/stumbling.html
for £7.50
Did you know we also run quirky, fun events such as Dinner & Drawing, Get Lost Artist Walks and Retreats?
