Harvest Season

We have just come through the busiest peak of this year's harvest season. Over the next couple of weeks our harvest season will start coming to an end. Due to popular demand, we produced more of our natural and honey-processed coffees this season. The first samples will be available at the beginning of August.

Farmer Payments

Last week we made the first set of payments to our farmers. It was by far one of the highlights of this season. There was the most incredible atmosphere at our washing stations during the days that the payments were made. Seeing all our farmers together really gave us perspective of how many lives are impacted by coffee in Burundi.

Film Project

This month we collaborated with Freestyle Media to produce a short film about Greenco. We spent a couple of days filming what happens at our washing stations and speaking with some of the coffee farmers we work with. It was an incredible experience and we can’t wait for you to see the film when it is finished.

Visitors

It was honor to have some of our partners visit us from all over the globe recently. We really enjoyed getting to meet each of you and having the opportunity to show you around Greenco.

Upcoming Events

The Cup of Excellence competition will be taking place from 31 July - 4 August 2017 in Burundi.

Managing Director's Words

Our team has worked incredibly hard over the last two months. This season has not come without its challenges, but with strategic planning and incredible teamwork we have overcome these challenges. I am grateful to be able to work with such a dedicated team.

The ambition for this season was to focus on improving both the quality and quantity of our natural and honey-processed coffees. I am looking forward to sending the first samples and hearing your feedback.

It was great to meet the partners that visited us over the last couple of weeks. I am also looking forward to those of you who will still be visiting us before the end of the season.
