Ever 49ers Gospel Sing! This Tuesday 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. The gospel sing will be led by Joey Gore! Bring a covered dish to share and a friend!

Summer Camp ends Friday June 23, and we will need many hands at the church around 11:30 AM returning crafts and kitchen supplies to their respective areas. Please come help as able.

Appalachia Service Project fundraiser June 25. They will be serving chicken plates starting at 10:00 am in the fellowship hall. The plate will consist of BBQ chicken, boiled potatoes, slaw and a drink. Dine-in or to go. Tickets are $6.00. Buy tickets today or next Sunday from any ASP member wearing their tee shirt.

Appalachia Service Project depart for Hyden Kentucky on July 2. ASP makes homes warmer, safer and dryer. One ASP goal this year is a new smoke detector in every home they serve. Anyone interested in helping make a home safer can drop off a new smoke detector in the collection box located in the church office. We will receive donations until July 1.

Travelers will be going to The Morehead Planetarium in Chapel Hill July 6th to see the show 'Carolina Skies'. We will leave the church at 7:30 am, have a late lunch, and return around 7:00pm. Tickets and bus expenses are $12 per person. Make checks payable to PVUMC and either give them to Oakelee Horrell or the church office. Sign up on the Senior Board located in the Fellowship Hall.

Prayer Shawl Team meets Monday, June 26th from 10 am until noon in room 1 of B Building. For those not wanting to work on BIG projects, we are working on Prayer Pockets which are small squares of remembrance, caps for the Seaman's center, and chemo caps for breast cancer patients.

Methodist Home for Children Epicurean Evening is September 7. This is their annual fundraiser, and church will be supplying two baskets for their silent auction. If anyone has a large basket to donate, we can use it. Please bring to the church or call Katie Hill and she will pick it up. (Phone 452-4776)

The Vacation Bible School Donation trees are up! Please return all non-perishable items to the boxes provided and perishable items to the Fellowship hall kitchen refrigerator labeled “VBS” by Sunday, July 2.

Je-Di Summer Campers, don't forget you need 2 quart sized mason jars with lids and either a 100% cotton pillow case or t-shirt for crafts. See you today at 4:00.

Food Pantry Needs: spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, canned beef stew, canned chicken and dumplings, creamy peanut butter, pork ‘n beans, corn muffin mix, rice, boxed potatoes. Check expiration dates.
