Conway Stewart Series 100 Core range

A glorious range of colours!

Hi, I'm Peter Robinson, BBP's Production Director and I'll be taking you through the current range of Conway Stewart's Series 100 pens today. David is taking a well-earned rest this week but will be back in the saddle next week.

As Production Director, it's been my privilege to sift through the dozens of boxes and bags of pen parts we acquired from the Conway Stewart Administrators to find acrylic combinations that not only look stunning, but also reflect the long traditions and heritage of the Conway Stewart brand.

Of course, the CS 'back catalogue' is vast and it's been an exciting part of my job to find and assemble some of the finest British pens ever made. In many instances we have only been able to find a few of each colour to make up into finished pens, but your continuing interest in them and your reviews and comments are very much appreciated by our team.

Today, I'm concentrating on the Series 100 range. The Series 100 is what I and many collectors around the world see as the quintessential British pen. The gently rounded shape, the high clip position and the cap band configurations all contribute to making the Series 100's enduring popularity - and of course the glorious range of colours means there's always something that appeals.

If ever a pen has stood the test of time, it's the Series 100. It was first introduced by Conway Stewart in 1954 and quickly became a firm favourite thanks to its elegant shape, perfect balance and classic styling. Initially it was only available in black celluloid with 3 gold cap bands, but when more colourful acrylics became available, the Series 100 was extended to include many wonderful and exotic colours. Without doubt these are pens for the writing connoisseur which will be admired and cherished whenever they are used.

So I hope you will enjoy my ramble through the Series 100. Apart from the core range, (Fresian, Classic Black and Nebula) shown above, in most other instances we are down to the last 1 or 2 so if a particular colour appeals to you, please don't delay in placing your order.

Enjoy!
