Nature Inspired.  Travel Inspired.  Vintage Inspired.

Hello and hope you're all having a pleasant (late) Spring!   I've been busy creating a lot of new pieces lately and have lots of news to share, so I'll jump right in.
Latest Updates
I recently joined the Maple & Main Gallery of Fine Art in Chester, CT - a wonderful gallery in a picturesque New England town near the coast and it’s been a truly positive experience.  In the first two weeks of their “Little Gems” show, I sold 3 pieces which was exciting as a new artist to the gallery.
Although the show is now over, I actually have 4 more pieces in the CT Open House show, which features scenes from around Connecticut and is in connection with the statewide event to promote tourism, history and art appreciation in the state.
You can learn more about these 4 pieces and their history at my blog.

Upcoming Projects
Although I'm always adding to my sea series and barn series, I plan to develop and add to my budding collection of historic buildings as I’m drawn to old, vintage pieces of architecture which there are no shortage of in New England.  I am also working on a vintage mill series as there is also a plethora of old mills in CT and I am determined to capture the beauty of those re-imagined into new spaces, as well as those abandoned and hauntingly desolate.  For those of you who prefer my abstract mixed media paintings, no worries, I have a collection of abstract pieces that I plan to release soon.  Stay tuned!
I am active on Instagram and you can also see my projects in process there.

Travel
The places I travel to and the photos I capture are the biggest source of inspiration and the basis of most of my pieces.  As some of you may know, I moved to CT from CO 2 years ago and it was a challenging transition filled with a lot of angst and nostalgia for the mountains.  However, this spring, I not only came to a place of peace with being in CT but am actually fully embracing it.  Now every week I try to explore a new town/location or even a new route or back road and am uncovering gems all across the state to incorporate into my art.  As such, expect to see more New England inspired art; however, you don't need to live in or have a connection to New England to appreciate and relate to these pieces as many of these scenes (barns, coastal scenes and old buildings) are pretty universal.
That being said, I took a very quick in/out weekend trip to Colorado to visit a friend in need and just seeing the mountains has me wanting to create mountain inspired art, so you can expect to see that in the near future as well.  That place still tugs at my heart strings.
Upcoming Shows
I’ll be exhibiting at the gallery’s summer exhibit starting June 24th and have been getting myself organized and choosing pieces, big and small, to include in the show, including these coastal inspired pieces:
If interested in any of these pieces, just let me know or reach out to the fine folks at Maple & Main Gallery of Fine Art.
New to the Shop
Although a lot of my newest pieces have been going to the various shows I’ve been participating in this Spring, I'm working on a collection of new pieces that I'll be adding to the shop in the near future.  Stay tuned for my next newsletter in July for updates.
