Behind the Scenes: The Work of NBRS Liaisons
The National Blue Ribbon Schools state liaisons are the critical link between the national program and individual public schools, while CAPE, the Council of American Private Education, is the link between the program and private schools. They are all instrumental in selecting and supporting the NBRS nominees each year. We conducted brief audio interviews with six state liaisons (Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio, as well as representatives from CAPE and the National Associate of Catholic Educators. Each interviewee describes their role, how states tap National Blue Ribbon School expertise, and what the NBRS experience has meant to them.
