Thank you for your support of the Park County Historical Society, as members, volunteers and history presenters over the years.
We are preparing for Bailey Day on Saturday, June 24th. If you are interested in helping make Bailey Day even better at McGraw Park, you are most welcome join us. If you are able to give tours of the buildings or the caboose, welcome visitors, wear period or character clothes and even help with planting, setup or cleanup, let us know.
Come spend time at McGraw Park, but be sure to include the festivities, music and food on Main Street. The Bailey Day Committee of the Platte Canyon Chamber has worked super hard to make this a fun day.
At McGraw Park we will have gold panning, history tours, spinning wheel demonstration, John Rankin will man the caboose, Paul Santos will have 2 horses for photo opportunities and we will be selling hotdogs, chips and sodas again. We may even have a teepee this year if we get a couple more helpers to set it up at 8:30 am Saturday morning. We have a couple volunteers so far but the more hands to help the better. Even helping prepare things on Friday would be good. Saturday will be busy so come early for closer parking, or car pool or take the shuttle from near Crow Hill Church. Invite your neighbors too - this is Bailey's Day.
