Bi-Communal Mentorship & Internship Programmes
In May, CyprusInno kicked-off its first Bi-Communal Startup Mentorship Programme, with virtual sessions and in-person sessions between mentors and mentees. We were honored by the number of applications we received, and we are very excited to announce that six startups were selected for the programme and the mentorship is well underway! Our six wonderful mentors were involved in the selection process, and the six teams were each paired with a mentor. The participating startups are: MISIRiX, Controlley, Birth Forward, Interpreter, Bi-Communal Web TV, and Roads & Keys. Learn more about the mentors, teams, and the programme.
In recent news, the second bi-communal internship programme, a joint initiative between the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (TCCC), has successfully concluded. The programme was such a great success that the organisers have reported that interns have been offered permanent jobs at companies from each community! In total, 40 young professionals – 20 Greek Cypriots and 20 Turkish Cypriots – had the opportunity to work in each other’s communities at 31 participating companies.
