Welcome back after the Easter holidays!  We hope you have all had a lovely break and enjoyed all the easter egg hunts and chocolates!  We have a fun packed Summer term ahead, please do mark down the dates for your diary and join in the fun!
News
Wig & Stache Bash - Thank you so much for everyone who organised, helped out and came along and supported this event - we can now confirm the total raised from the event was £4,572.05.  This is fantastic for the pre-school, it really does all allow us to ensure we offer our children the very best!

Parent Survey - Thank you again for your participation in the parent survey this year, it was lovely to hear all your views and also give us opportunity to improve areas you have highlighted.  The feedback was circulated before the Easter holidays however if you didn't get chance to read it please do feel free to access it here.
Forest School - This returns to us for its second year!  It gained fantastic feedback last year and we have decided that this will stay as part out curriculum each year (obviously funds dependent hence why our fundraising is so important) for older groups in the Friday sessions.  This is excellent opportunity which we are very happy to be able to share with our children. For more information on Forest School please visit www.forestschoolassociation.org

Shoebox Appeal - It seems like such a long time ago, though we have now been notified that your kind donations were greatly received by children in the Middle East.  Thanks to the generosity of individuals like you, all over the United Kingdom, 882,647 children, in 17 countries, received a gift to remember!

Additional Sessions - The new system of allowing weekly sign up for available additional sessions, is now live.  Please keep your eye on the notice board for availability and sign up.

Red Nose Day - Thank you for your kind donations we raised £42 to support this wonderful charity who raise money for children overseas to have access to clean running water, health care and education.  These are three basic rights for all children everywhere, but for some it is unfortunately not the case.

Requests to Parents
Sun Hats - With the warmer weather heading our way please can you make sure your child had a named sun hat with them at pre-school and that sun-cream is applied before they come to pre-school.  For children attending all day either apply the 8 hour protection sun cream or bring in a named bottle of sun-cream so that staff can apply it at lunchtime.  This will only apply on the days that your child comes in for a full day.
Active Kids - Please keep the vouchers coming in, the more we collect the more equipment we can provide for your children.
Washing Up Rota - Hannah French has recently taken on responsibility for completing the washing up rota.  If you have any changes to the days you can/can't do please can you let her know on seer.green.preschool@gmail.com.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting the pre-school by way of this activity.  This small amount of your time is vital to the pre-school allowing the staff to spend more time with the children at the end of the session and also to keep costs as low as we can - every penny counts!
Bag2School - In mid May we will pop a Bag2School envelope in your post pocket.  Please can you fill with an old clothes etc over the half term break and then return to us on the 8th June.  Don't worry we will also send a reminder nearer the time.

Listening to Children - This term I will be spending some time trying to find out what the older children think and feel about our pre-school.  I will be using a number of research methods, which are particularly suitable for this age group, such as tours, cameras, role play and simple interviews. For more detail please click here.
