Dear Friend,

Next week, the Mesquite City Council will vote on a proposed Resolution that supports reducing the boundaries of Gold Butte National Monument and gutting the Antiquities Act. Please join us at the next Council meeting to tell your elected officials that you are opposed to this Resolution and that you support keeping all protections for Gold Butte National Monument. Wear yellow and bring your #GoldButte sunglasses.

What: Discussion of Resolution 927 at the Mesquite City Council Meeting
When: Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 5pm
Where: Mesquite City Hall, 10 E. Mesquite Blvd., Mesquite NV, 89027

Let us know you'll be there! RSVP HERE

It is important to have a lot of support at this meeting so we hope to see you there. If you are unable to attend, please send an email, make a phone call or submit an online comment to Mesquite elected officials. Tell them you support keeping all boundaries in place for Gold Butte and you oppose any action to undermine the Antiquities Act.

Please comment to the Council even if you don't live in Mesquite. Let them know that Gold Butte National Monument is good for Mesquite's economy.
And, send us a copy of your comment at info@friendsofgoldbutte.org.

And if you haven't yet commented on the DOI review of National Monuments...
The deadline to comment on our website for the Department of Interior's review of 27  national monuments, including Gold Butte, is July 9, 2017.

Click here to comment about Gold Butte National Monument to Secretary Zinke.

An attack on one monument is an attack on all monuments. Tell Secretary Zinke and the Department of the Interior that Americans want Gold Butte, Basin and Range and all national monuments to be protected for future generations.

Thank you for your support.
