Just a note to say thank you for taking one or more of my workshops at Contemporary Handweavers of Texas and Midwest Weavers Conference.
Not that I want you to, but this your first opportunity to unsubscribe from my very sporadic newsletters.

REMINDER: If you post a photo of something you dyed with my cotton, use the hashtag #dyelishuscottton on Instagram or spell it Dye-Lishus® cotton on your blog or Facebook. Trademarks are used as adjectives, not nouns.
PRODUCT UPDATE:
  • I have exactly 3 of the Blooming Leaf woven shibori blanks left. I do not intend to re-order any of the current styles; when I get a new batch in, they will be all new styles.
  • Shuttles arrived! In Cherry, Brazilian Cherry, Red Oak, Pacific Madrone, Marbled Ash, European Beech, Red Birch (bottom to top).
TEACHING SCHEDULE:

July 30 - Aug 5, 2017 John C. Campbell Folk School, Brasstown NC   Plants Love Plants - Natural Dyes on Cotton
Oct. 26, 2017   SAFF, Asheville NC       Ice water Indigo?
Oct 27, 2017    SAFF, Asheville NC       Perpetual Indigo Vat
Oct 28, 2017    SAFF, Asheville NC       Charkha 101
Oct 29, 2017    SAFF, Asheville NC       Woven Shibori Dye Tehniques
NEW TECHNIQUES:
The Check shibori fabric sells the slowest, so I am working on a "mock ikat" technique. I'm not there yet (don't use a squirt bottle...), but here's a preview. From the right, gathered & painted top, bottom, then the whole thing spread out.

Happy spinning, weaving, dyeing!
