Community Based Strategic Plan Update

Healthy Lifestyle is one of the five main goals of the Community Based Strategic Plan. The Town is continually working on various ways to promote a healthy lifestyle in Collingwood including:
  • Move Collingwood an event that took place June 3rd in conjunction with National Health & Fitness Day, where many local organizations came together to promote health & wellness, provide demonstrations on new ways to get fit, activities to keep the whole family moving including a 1K, 2K, 5K and 10K run!
  • June is also Bike Month. The Town of Collingwood is celebrating its recent award of Bronze level recognition by Share the Road Coalition. As an active community the Town values safe active transportation opportunities as well as seeks to promote cycling on all the Town's many trails. New this month: Come and check out the Bike Valet hosted by a different local Not-for-Profit Organization each week. The valet takes place during the Farmers Market every Saturday in June and cost is only $1 to park your bike. All proceeds go towards benefitting the Organization that hosts each week.  For more information on Bike Month visit: www.collingwood.ca/bikemonth.
