Year 6 production of Grease
A massive well done to the Year 6 children,  who performed  'Grease' in their end of Year production last night. The children excelled themselves and demonstrated how talented they are at singing, dancing and acting. i would like to say a big thank you to Sam, Mariela, Sophia, Virva, Simona, Shy, Jennifer and Mauve  for making the most amazing costumes. The show would have not been the same without them. I would also like to say a massive well done to the Year 6 team, Mrs Hardisty, Ms Belsky who worked so hard with the children. And finally a big thank you to Mr Adamah and Mr Fahti who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the IT work.

Year 5 writing
Kirikou’s Boat Rescue
Close to the village lay a glistening, clear river where the children played excitedly. Kirikou’s mother was scooping up water as she told him quietly, “Karaba is very envious of us because we have the water again, please watch the children.”
Kirikou decided to stay with the children in case Karaba did try to steal them.
After a few minutes Kirikou waded out to try and join their game. When he got there he asked if he could play, but the children announced, “You’re too small to play with us.” After that, one of the girls came up to him fists clenched, and kicked him down under the water. He almost drowned.
Once he got back to the shore, he sat on the bank and splashed his arms in the water while he miserably watched the children play. A moment later a multi-coloured boat floated towards the group. As soon as Kirikou saw the mysterious craft he shouted to the group, “You mustn’t get on, it’s the evil sorcerer Karaba’s boat!”
One of the boys shouted, “Don’t listen to him, let’s take a ride on this fabulous boat.”
So they all clambered on and suddenly the boat started to move. It quickly picked up pace.
The boat got faster. The children became more petrified than ever. The young hero ran quicker. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a dagger and he grabbed the mighty weapon. The children, who started to cry out loud, grabbed onto the vessel. Kirikou yelled at the top of his voice, “Jump off!” As he ducked branches, jumped rocks and swerved past bushes, he thought it’s now or never. He leapt towards the boat. Would he make it? Did he jump too early? Would he be hit by the deadly vehicle?
He jabbed his knife into the boat and he flooded the ship. A boy yelled, “You are killing us.” As the water gushed into the wounded kidnapper, it slipped further and further, deeper and deeper until it submerged.
“Swim to the shore,” commanded Kirikou.
As the children desperately leapt from the remains of the boat into the calm river, they celebrated Kirikou rescuing them. Then, the man who dropped the knife finally caught up. He panted, “Well done Kirikou, you’ve done a fabulous job. You may keep my knife as a reward. So they started their journey back to the village with Karaba’s boat on the bottom of the riverbed.

Fox Summer Fair Tokens!!

What are Summer Fair tokens?
Each paper token is worth 50p and will be used as Fox Summer Fair currency.
Most stalls will be accepting ONLY TOKENS INSTEAD OF CASH.
We will also accept credit card payments this year!

Why?
There are a few reasons…
1) Parent helpers won’t have to worry about looking after a float on a stall.
2) Tokens are a fun way for children to get involved with the Fair.
3) It will be easier for parents to control how much their children spend.
4) There will be less cash overall on the school premises for us to be responsible for.
5) It takes a really, really long time to count up all the change at the end of each fair!

Can I only use tokens at the Fair?
No.
The Entrance, Raffle, Auction and food/beverage stalls will accept cash as well as tokens.

Where can I buy tokens?
Pre-order your tokens on-line and receive a 20% pre-fair discount!
At the fair, £20 will get you 40 tokens worth 50p each.
If you pre-pay, £20 will get you 50 tokens (£25 value).
Prepaid tokens can be picked up in the office or at the fair.
Tokens can also be purchased in the office at the same discount.

Click here to buy tokens                                   Tokens are non-refundable.

Congratulations to Jenny Hewlett -- the lucky winner of the Justin Bieber tickets for Sunday's Concert in Hyde Park. This one-off raffle raised £1550, which will be added to the proceeds raised by the Toy Stall at the Summer Fair, and donated to benefit those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. Thank you to all those who participated and congratulations to our lucky winner!
