Grants Available from the JWT
The Jo Walters Trust is calling for applications for two separate grants that we currently have available. We want to reach as many people as possible who might be interested in applying for one of these grants themselves, or who know someone else who might. Please do read through the criteria for applying for the grants below, and if you know anyone who might be keen, please do pass on the details. We'd love to hear from them!
Maths Grant
The Jo Walters Trust is offering several grants of up to £1,000 to support projects which help and inspire pupils to engage with mathematics.
Applicants are not expected to reinvent the wheel: ideas could include trips, workshops, competitions, an action-research project within the classroom, purchase of equipment. However we don’t want to constrain applications, so will welcome all novel and innovative ideas, large and small.

Deadline: 30th June 2017

Thanks

And finally, enormous thanks to all the extremely kind people who have raised money for the Jo Walters Trust over the last few months, meaning we can keep making grants like these. Verity Hawson ran the Madrid marathon, Maggie and Robert Gladstone opened Capenoch for Scotland's Gardens and the Jo Walters Trust, Rev'd Canon Tom Montgomery of St Ninian's Church in Troon completed a triathlon for the JWT and Parkinson's UK, and in April, Andie and Nicky Bradford held a Working Week-end at Kincardine Castle for the lucky winners of that auction lot at our last ball. Andie has written a blog post for us about it which you can read on our blog here: http://www.jowalterstrust.org.uk/blog.html

Thanks to them and to all of you for your continued support.

Have a lovely summer!

From Lucy, and all at the Jo Walters Trust
