A quotation from the article:

"Individuals, particularly those leaving education, need to be able to assure prospective employers they are a team player, a good communicator, or that they can resolve conflict and be positive in the workplace. But in order to do so, they need to go beyond the traditional CV – which essentially just lists what they have done – to paint a fuller picture of the human skills they can offer, not just technical and academic."

Innovative uses of badges

USGBC energy efficiency badges

A great use of Open Badges is to define and drive positive behaviours. In this case, the United States Green Building Council have created badges in high-priority topic areas such as zero energy buildings and energy conservation.

This means they have a clear path to their high-status LEED award, and can encourage the kind of knowledge and skills they want to see in their industry.
